Travel by train in Germany is the best way to visit the land. There are two types of train travel in Germany. The high speed trains and the regular train travel. If you wanted to know and visit Germany’s cities fleetingly then you go for the high speed trains that have short cuts travel in between cities and you are on board the fastest train on land. But if you want to savor the German culture and gallivant around small towns and village then you can go for the regular trains.

If you speak the German; then your travel is a much easier and enjoyable part even without a guide. You can communicate and talk with the locals and ask for directions and even for information that you do not find on a tourist map or tourist guide book. If you are confused on Germany rail train destination then you can easily ask for directions and ideas at the friendly locals. But if you do not know anything about German then a tour guide would be best or perhaps you should polish your German skills first before heading for Germany.

Do not get me wrong, there are so many non-German speaking tourists and had enjoyed Germany to the fullest. But on this article I would like share some ideas of those who know the German language and would like to scour and visit the country’s tourist destination.

Train journeys in Germany are the most fulfilling and authentic travel in the country. You will see so many wonderful things and scenery besides the tourist attraction in Germany and there are absolutely for free. For backpackers especially during summer season they would book for a night train as they transfer from one location to another. In this way they can save so much on their night accommodation and spend the day sightseeing on certain location.

Have you been to Germany yet? If you haven’t, you should have to visit the place in your next trip of your holiday vacation. You will never regret of coming here because Germany is one of the most visited countries all over the world that continues to attract millions of vacationers the whole year round since then and until these recent days.

What makes Germany a rushing country by the international visitors? So we cannot blame those vacationers who kept on coming back here to venture again their holiday escapade.

Germany is not just about the natural beauty abounding to it, but the country as well is great when it comes to its historic remnants that would guide you about the country’s rich and unique history. Some of the remnants that you must know in Germany are the following:
The Romantic Road – if you give your self the chance to drive in this road, you would surely have a great time and the best experience, because of its fabulous landscapes and picturesque scenery that you can see while driving. You would witness in this road the gothic church, charming countryside and a fascinating town.

Blood shed over this wall and it is one of the witnesses how Germany won against its enemies. It is the Berlin Wall that stands firm how the people fought for their freedom. Due to that, millions of tourists get curious to see for themselves the great Berlin Wall of Germany.

Germany is one holiday destination that you will never regret with a mixture of rich heritage and festivals and urban beauty. It is full of breathtaking green sceneries and concentration camp, castles and architecture.

Germany Top Rated Tourist attraction:

Cologne fishes out pictures of hearty looking man with a very enormous mug of beer in hands for its one major beer producing city in Germany. Architecture and the Beer Festival is one of the many attractions in Cologne. Also a major Germany Tourist Attraction.

Black Forest. Did this sound like a cake? Yes, the dark shades and shadows of pine and fir I believe is the reason why dark colored black forest cake is named as such. This black forest in Germany is the famous home of the cuckoo clock. Accommodations and lodgings are available in this part of Germany.

Octoberfest which I heard starts in the month of September and culminates in the month of September. It is a celebration of the Bavarian Beer and takes weeks of celebration; one of the oldest festival celebration in Germany.

Berlin is Germany capital city and of course often mentioned in the world news. One might think that Berlin is a country rather than a city. It hs several German landmarks that tourist would love to see. History buffs has enlisted Berlin as one of their must visit city. History seems to know Berlin.

Lake Constance is between Austria, Switzerland and Germany and thus the source of Rhine River. One of the longest lake in Europe and very historical.

Neuschwanstein Castle is the Castle of sleeping Beauty. Wow, so Fairy Tales indeed come true in the structure of this Castle. It is one of the most beautiful castles in the world.

Germany can offer a probing tourist more than meets the eye.

Germany is a country that i just read… well not really just read…but obsessed upon. My friends and I are planning a back packing travel in Germany. We are planning to circuit the country of its fine palaces, islands, towns and mountains and of course get the last minute fan of the Oktoberfest.

Besides a hearty laugh and a big mug of beer I wanna experience the German culture raw. I want to speak the German language with finesse and accent. Is that too ambitious for an English boy? It is a dream come true for me this time. Even without the finer things included in the travel in Germany. We actually wanted to rough it out with our gears lightly packed up on our backs and traverse the country from north to south and west to east. Germany tour this time is taken to another level with a classmates expertise on the cheap German accommodation, we are really into saving and experiencing an adventure.

We are also counting our lucky charms and perhaps run into German Festivals along the way. We also would like to take pictures of the ‘biggest and smallest’ in the German country. I would like to flash a very cheesy smile with Lake Constance as a backdrop. Where do you think is the most advantageous location for this?

Frankfurt International Airport being the 2nd busiest airport should also not forget on the lists of places to be photographed. And Christmas Season as the targeted holiday season as the Catholics in the Germany celebrates the longest Christmas.

A year in the German land is worth all the years of waiting. I just knew that Germany would be one of the destinations that I should visit before I die. I want to rub elbows with the German culture. I would like to step inside their castles. This time it will be a dream come true… sooner that I thought.

A history buff cousin can not just stop to rave a bout Germany. When we were 10 and eating ice cream, what he boast about was this historical aristocrat country. When we were preparing for college, he was not yet over with this obsession. The irony of it all I am going for Germany for a two months gap year before entering college then.

Maybe his obsession rub off itself unto me that is why when asked for the destination of a gap year and sort of holiday vacation I did not hesitated and blurted out this country’s name. Well, with hours of talk and information from this history buff cousin I seemed to know Germany like the back of my hand.

With history: Yes I was filled with it and it will be solidified with the actual visit of the places. Yes, three months from now and all the necessary papers, from the insurance to Germany destination are already ironed out. I would like to share some destinations that I am planning to visit in my Germany travel.

Munich is a good place to start getting to know Germany. It is a sophisticated, large business center with variety of museums, galleries, world class symphony and packed with lost of activities to do. The best castles are found in Munich city.

Augsburg is also another side of the German country that has a collection of wonderful churches, pleasant location and good food. It is one of the famous romantic Road.. A city named after an emperor- Augustus and the oldest city in the history of Bavaria thus offering so much for history buffs.

I also would like to visit other specific destination such as: Roland Statue and Bremen town Hall, St. Peter’s Cathedral, Bremen Town Musicians statue, Hohenschwangau Castle,Neuschwanstein Castle,Brandenburg Gate,Reichenau Island and Mainau on Lake Constance and Zollverein coal mine.

Germany is one of the many faces of travel, mysterious and yet amazing. The importance of a Germany travel guide always come in handy when embarking on a trip to Germany. In Germany you can explore old-world neighborhoods, relaxing countryside retreats and significant villages, or simply find a break from the fast pace of life. Wherever you are, Germany is sure to delight and engage even the most experienced traveler. Among the must visit places are the Castle Hotel Colmberg and Wertheim, European River Town. The former is a romantic 1000 year old Bavaria castle hotel. Colmberg proffers a lot of medieval charm, pleasant surroundings and a unique experience for families and couples alike. The latter, Wertheim, is a picturesque and charming town situated at the confluence of the Tauber and Main Rivers. European river cruises frequently stopover in this place because of its charming history and fascinating ambiance.

On the other hand, if you rather like to travel to Germany for something festive then book a trip to the country during the carnival season, locally it is called Karneval or Fasching. You can take part in the colorful celebrations, costume balls and street parades. This carnival season (also “Fifth Season”) in Germany officially begins on November 11 at 11:11 in the morning. In the enchanting hour, the “Council of Eleven” comes all together to prepare the events for the forthcoming activities. The councils’ members’ official hats have the fool’s colorful caps with small bells. The actual celebration of the German carnival usually takes place forty days before Easter. It is the last huge party before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent.

Nonetheless, all these will not seem fun as it may sound without a convenient transportation. One of the best means to explore Germany is to travel by train. The German railway system is exceptionally well-developed and dependable. You can reach almost every destination in the country by train, with the added maximum benefit of getting to see a thorough view of the German landscape right out your window, giving a comfortable and relaxing way of enjoying a trip in Germany indeed.

The travel industry flourishes because it is a year-round business. A global traveler normally takes on one trip each year. However, for a travel business to be successful, one needs to invest a lot of money for its marketing and advertising. On the other hand, the food business is a daily trade. Nobody can get by not eating anything in a day. It is only a perfect combination to anticipate great travel and delightful taste. Therefore, a prospective traveler should be able to look into his/her travel plans and ventures in a more relaxed environment, where he/she can have a cocktail, drink a cup of coffee, or munch on Currywurst. Traveling to Germany can just be the right place for any curious traveler.

Traveling has plenty to do with gastronomy. Each country has its own kind of culture and food to go with it, and Germany can be a good experience center. The extensive travel options of Germany makes the country one of the best travel buys worldwide that is expected to boost more in the year 2009. Germany hotels present wide range of options. Some may include fixed price offers containing an overnight accommodation, free public transport and a German Rail train ticket. Staying at one of the budget hotels in Germany such as Formulel, MotelOne or Ibishotels are another affordable options to exploit for reasonable travels to Germany, with the price equivalent to American dollars to normally around $40 a night.

The German Rail is sufficient and inexpensive. It uses many special tickets including the “Happy Weekend Ticket” applicable during weekend travels. A coach company called Deutsche Touring offer inexpensive rates as low as $15 between Hamburg and Frankfurt. An internet option is called the “Share a Car Ride Service” where valid drivers offer car rides to one-two persons (in accordance to available occupancy of seating spaces) who are heading in the same direction. Also, bike-hire shops are commonly located near main railway stations.

Moreover, Germany is famous of its yearly fairs, festivals and concerts. Many of these parties and events don’t charge admissions and they’re free with great German beers. If you are interested in wining and dancing, catch July month and visit Coburg, Franconia. The city hosts the biggest Samba festival in Europe with approximately 50 bands and around 200 dancers engage in the street festival. To end, a glass of Franconian’s Riesling and samba dancing sounds like genuinely good fun.
